Las Cosas De La Vida- The Things of Life

Why do things sound so much better in Spanish? If you are arguing, the argument sounds more passionate in Spanish, if you are being all "romantical" it too sounds very passionate.... Just a random thought of mine after translating the title of this blog. So, the last post was on July 22, which puts me on a 4 day blog diet. Intentional refusal to write? Well, kinda and I am not making any excuses. In the last 4 days I worked out 2 times and was semi-productive in the healthy eating aspect of my diet. I am a firm believer that when there is chaos in one's life, it is extremely difficult to get a routine going. Being that routine is NOT part of my new life right now, I am sticking to this as much as I can. After moving 1,300 miles, I am moving once again to another apartment, which will hopefully bring much more stability in my life before I begin working. I am happy we found a place and are moving at least a week before I start work. This will truly help me continue my weight loss goal. Weight wise I am seeing some progress. I started at 173 pounds and now I am down to 171 or 2 pounds lighter in 1 week. At this rate, I will be at my goal 2 weeks shy of Christmas day. I know it will get much more difficult along the way, but I am willing to take this roller coaster ride. I almost forgot to mention that I found a very cool weight loss tool in none other that a 99 Cent Store. If you haven't shopped at a 99 Cent store before you have no idea what useful crap you can find here. If you dig through the rubble long enough, you find hidden treasures. Mine was an "8-A-Day" water bottle which holds exactly that- 8 glasses of water!!! This is great because if I fill this bad boy up with H2O and drink the contents of it daily, I will be drinking enough water to remain hydrated all day long. Exciting in the world of dieting, right? (The sarcasm reeks from my pores). I will run/walk 4 miles today or maybe bike ride for a 9 mile if we go to the beautiful park by the lake. Where ever the day takes me, exercise WILL be a priority. Why? because my life is my priority and if I love myself as much as I claim to, I will stick to this goal. Bon Voyage my friends and feel free to ask questions about what the specifics of my dieting and exercise, which are easily doable.

  1. i love your blog Leidy :-) Did you take a "before" pic so you can proudly display the "after" pic by Christmas? I remember my former personal trainer told me that what matters most is losing inches, not pounds. Wishing you luck & remember that you look great no matter what!
